Sex is healthy.Porn is not.
Power Over Porn© is a brain-based treatment program for compulsive pornography use, built on neuroscience, behavior change, and real intimacy. No filters. No surveillance. No shame. Just the work of rewiring your brain and reclaiming your life.
Do I have a problem with porn?
There's no shame in asking. It isn't measured by hours or frequency, it's measured by the cost. Tap each sign that feels true, and we'll read the result together.
I've tried to cut back or stop, but I keep coming back.
I need more, or more extreme content, to feel the same release.
It's taking time I meant for sleep, work, or the people I love.
I hide it, minimize it, or feel shame afterward.
It's affecting my sex life, my intimacy, or my presence with a partner.
I reach for it to numb stress, boredom, loneliness, or anxiety.
I feel like the choice isn't fully mine anymore.
I promise myself "this is the last time," and it isn't.
If several of these feel true, it doesn't mean you're broken, and it doesn't mean you'll feel this way forever. It means your brain has learned a pattern, and patterns can be retrained.
We don't chase abstinence. We build integrity.
Recovery is measured in self-honesty and self-connection, not perfect streaks. The goal is a life where porn is no longer needed to cope, numb, or escape.
Relapse isn't failure. It's data.
Most people slip. Each cycle reveals the unmet need underneath the urge. We treat it as information to learn from, with self-compassion, not shame.
Your partner isn't your probation officer.
No spyware. No filters. No detective work. Healing comes from their own recovery and self-respect, not from being monitored, confessed to, or controlled.
It's not a character flaw. It's your reward system.
Masturbation is natural. Porn is not. One is a normal, private part of a healthy sex life; the other is an engineered product that hijacks the brain's reward system in a way real life never could. Understanding that difference is the first step to changing it.
The chase is the high, not the climax.
The pull isn't the finish, it's the chase. The searching and the constant novelty are what the brain starts to crave, and what keeps you coming back.
The screen rewires what arouses you.
Over time it takes more to feel the same thing. Screen-based porn shifts what arouses you in a way real life doesn't.
Real connection starts to feel "boring."
Real connection can start to feel flat. That's not a flaw in you or your partner, it's how the brain has been trained.
The brain rebalances when you stop feeding it.
The hardest part passes in the first few days. Once the overstimulation eases, the brain rebalances, and most people feel clearer and calmer within a couple of weeks.
This isn't about willpower.
It's about rewiring.
Three phases, from impulse to identity.
Power Over Porn© moves you through a clear, step-by-step progression built on proven psychology. You don't white-knuckle your way through. You rebuild, one phase at a time.
Stabilization & Self-Regulation
Find your footing, ease the urges, and start feeling steady in your body and mind again.
Realignment & Behavioral Shift
Build a life that genuinely competes with the screen, instead of just resisting it.
Integration & Identity Formation
Move forward as a whole person, no longer defined by the struggle.
Find the level of care that fits your life.
From a self-paced course you can start tonight to immersive intensive outpatient care, every path runs on the same brain-based, shame-free foundation.
The Power Over Porn© Course
The complete program, on your own time and at your own pace. The neuroscience, the somatic tools, the full three-phase model, plus worksheets, sleep and dopamine-reset protocols, and relapse-recovery scripts, everything you need to start the work privately, tonight.
Individual Therapy
One-on-one sessions with a licensed psychologist, tailored to your history, triggers, and goals. We work the program together using ACT, mindfulness, somatic regulation, and relapse-prevention, at the pace that's right for you.
Couples Treatment
For partners healing together. We rebuild trust and intimacy without surveillance or policing, and help you reconnect beyond the screen. Includes partner support, boundary work, and a path back to security for both of you.
Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
A higher level of care for when you're ready to go all in. Structured, frequent sessions combining individual therapy, group work, somatic and skills training, and partner support, without stepping away from your life.
Private-pay rates in USD. Superbills are available for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. The course is a one-time payment; therapy is billed per session, and the IOP is billed in full at the start of the program.
It was never about you.
It's about their brain.
This isn't about how you look, how sexually pleasing you are, or your partner wanting someone else. It isn't cheating, and it isn't a verdict on you.
Compulsive porn use is a brain-based pattern, engineered to keep them coming back. It runs deeper than your relationship, and it is not a reflection of your worth. Natural lust and sexual desire are normal, and masturbation is a private, healthy part of being human, neither one is a betrayal of you.
Shame doesn't heal by piling on more shame, more monitoring, or more disclosure. Our partner work helps you get comfortable with the ordinary insecurity of loving someone who has a private sexual self, so you can feel secure without needing to police it, and build a healthier relationship with your own sexuality along the way.
Dr. Raychel Powers, Psy.D.
Power Over Porn© was built by a licensed clinical psychologist who was tired of watching shame-and-surveillance approaches fail the people they were supposed to help. The program is grounded in real science and evidence-based practice, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, Marlatt's Relapse Prevention model, and the Transtheoretical Model of Change.
The approach is direct, brain-based, and sex-positive. Sexuality isn't the problem to be eliminated, the compulsive, screen-based loop is the thing we treat. The goal is a healthy, values-based, integrated sexual life that no longer needs a screen to come alive.
